Carolina Achieve’s campus is conveniently located on a 15.7 acre parcel of land at the intersection of West Ten and Rock Quarry Road in Mebane, a very short drive from the I-40/I-85 Buckhorn Road exit between Hillsborough and Mebane.
We will open our doors as a K-2 school; expanding by one grade each year. By doing so, every student who enrolls right now at Carolina Achieve can graduate from our high school in the future without ever changing schools.

Carolina Achieve Groundbreaking Ceremony with Orange County Chamber of Commerce
An exciting milestone in the history of Carolina Achieve Charter School took place on February 7th, when we formally broke ground at our campus location at the intersection of West Ten and Rock Quarry Road in Mebane.
Our groundbreaking event signals the start of formal construction and lot development as we make preparations to open our school this August with over 200 students in grades K-2 this fall and expand by an additional grade each year.
Mebane Planning Board Recommends Annexing Land For Carolina Achieve Construction
At its September 2024 meeting, the Mebane Planning Board unanimously voted to recommend that Mebane annex the 15.7 acres of land planned for Carolina Achieve. Learn more about the board’s decision and our school’s future plans in this The News of Orange County article.
Carolina Achieve Hires New Head of School
Carolina Achieve is proud to announce our new Head of School, Trip Cogburn, who will play an essential role in opening our brand new innovative NC Public Charter School in Mebane. With decades of experience leading other independent schools, Carolina Achieve is excited to welcome Mr. Cogburn to the team.
Carolina Achieve Opening K-2 in August 2025
Starting as a K-to-2 school in August 2025, Carolina Achieve will add a grade each year to become a K-to-12 school. Each enrolling student will have the opportunity to attend Carolina Achieve through the end of high school.
Our highly researched curriculum will prepare our students for academic success in high school and college, and for achievement in adult life. Carolina Achieve will offer personalized learning for every student with Individualized Student Support Systems to nurture child well-being. Students will feel known, understood, and appreciated in a small school environment while benefitting from a natural and spacious campus. Additionally, our educators will instill a Parent Partnership Mindset and encourage community involvement from our parents. We invite prospective families to fill out our application of interest for the 2025-26 school year.
