Preparing Our Students for the Next Chapter of Their Education

Carolina Achieve’s program will prepare students for the high school of their choice, whether it is across the street at our sister school, another charter school, their traditional public school, or an independent school. Student’s will graduate the eighth grade with a strong academic foundation, Habits of Success, and executive functioning skills that they can utilize on their academic journey and beyond. While every student’s pathway will be unique, we will offer all of our students the same overall experience. 

6th Grade

  • Students meet with their Success Coach and family to discuss their areas of strength, opportunity, and interest
  • Students create an academic and personal growth plan with their Success Coach and family
  • Students explore different high school, college, and career pathways
  • Students create an action plan for the summer with their Success Coach and family

7th Grade

  • Students review their growth and action plan from the previous year with their Success Coach
  • Students create an academic and personal growth plan with the Success Coach and family
  • Students and families participate in opportunities to learn about high school options
  • Students meet with the Success Coach and family to discuss options for high school
  • Students create an action plan for the summer with their Success Coach and family

8th Grade

  • Students review their growth and action plan from the previous year with their Success Coach
  • Students create an academic and personal growth plan with the Success Coach and family
  • Success Coaches support students and families throughout the high school application process  
  • Students create an action plan for the summer and high school with their Success Coach and family

After High School

  • Choose a career

  • Earn credentials

  • Join North Carolina’s workforce
