John and Marjorie Oxaal
Marjorie and John are longtime residents of Durham County who believe that education has the power to transform lives. John is an entrepreneur and Venture Capitalist who has started and/or funded more than 15 High-Tech and Life Science based companies. Marjorie has had a long career on Wall Street and in corporate appraisal. She currently manages a real estate and property operations firm. John is the board chair of Carolina Achieve.
Tiffany Alrefae
Tiffany joins Carolina Achieve as the other founder and board member. Her career spans over eighteen years and three countries. She has been a founding member of four schools and held various leadership roles, including Assistant Head of School, Principal, and most recently Dean of Orlando Science High School, ranked by Niche in 2023 #19 for the Best Charter HS in America and #1 for the Best Charter HS in Florida. She is also currently a member of the New Leaders: Envisioning New School Models cohort.
